Day 7 Friday

Update from Chris
Marked Men for Christ in Uganda was a powerful conference. At the end, men were hugging. In their culture, a sign of honor and respect is to hold someone's hand. One of my Mesai brothers held my hand. He also gave me a necklace and told me to put it in a place of honor in my house. The men were so appreciative of us being there. I will never forget their smiles from ear to ear.
The next day we had a time if training for our Kenya brothers.

God showed up and gave me great clarity and focus in my life. He brought me to Isaiah 41:10

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.

Blessings!

This Phase 1 Marked Men for Christ is the most powerful one in Africa yet. The transformation in men's lives has been unbelievable. The 5,000 person to become a Marked Man in the history of the program was last night. He was a Mesai Warrior. It was an incredible celebration when he received his cross.

Day 5 Monday 2/3/14

Update from Pfifer
We left Shangilia with 7 of our Keya brothers for Jinja, Uganda. This was a 6  -1/2 hour drive. The drive wasn't too bad. We arrived at the YWAM camp on the shores of Lake Victoria which is the headwaters of the Nile river. The 27 staff of Marked Men came from 3 continents from the countries of USA, Austria, Kenya and Uganda.

We spent the day with preparation for the staff with sharing, connecting and team building. The participants in Marked Men for Christ will arrive around 2:00PM tomorrow. We expect approximately 50-63 men to join us in 12 Soul Groups. We ended our day today by praying over the grounds.

Pray for Glenn as he had come down with a bit of stomach trouble.
Blessings!

Another amazing day!
We started the  day in church. Glenn shared the message on Joshua and the promised land. Gene connected with many of the boys by showing them Karate moves. Randy and April had board meetings with the Shanilia orphanage and Love for Kenya, while Chris hung out with some of the teenagers. Glenn was also taking photos of the staff.
Pray for Phifer as he is a little sick today.

Day 3 - Saturday 2/1 Night 11:30 PM

We had an amazing day of ministry in Kenya, spent building relationships at a medical clinic, public school and an orphanage. God is using us to make an impact as our Kenyan friends are impacting our lives. Tomorrow we have an opportunity to worship in Kenya and our brother Glenn will be preaching. Monday we leave at 6:00am for Uganda to serve with our brothers at Marked Men for Christ.

Everyone is healthy and doing fine.

Love,
Randy

Day 2

Jambo !

Took 40 hours to get to Kenya. We are tired but revved up.

Amazing first day spent with over 60 widows part of the micro finance program from ""With Love for Kenya". Watched them as they work in their groups. They were deciding who will get loans for a particular period of time. We had devotions with the ladies The women sang and dance and then they fed us lunch. Women were given a bounty of found to take home. We said goodbye as women with colorful scarves walked off with their bounty.
Blessings!
